![]() As you enter the picturesque town of Chirk why not make your way down to the central cenotaph and pop in the Ceiriog home and wear to meet Ian Roberts a local councillor. Within the shop you will find prepared information on the following topics which you will find of interest. Local history - Various publications, all by the local history society are available, of course, Ian will be able to answer all of your questions and maybe even tell some anecdotes involving some of the many local characters. Maps of many walks enjoyed by local people, ranging from a short stroll to longer exercises all of which can be accomplished without investment in specialist equipment. The maps also give information on interesting sites that the walks pass along with accompanied visits to seasonal bluebell, snowdrop and primrose woods. Events within the locality along with, background information giving the origin of the event, high and low -lights. Things to do. Welsh tourist office information sheets are available on request. A selection of local craft items are available for all of your souvenir requirements.
